I had been asked to be a part of Aunt Ellen&#8217;s wedding. I vividly remember going to the Welter&#8217;s home with my mom, Carol and brother, Doug, the week before the wedding. There Aunt Kathy, took my measurements and had me try on the beautifully ornate, floral cotton dress I was to wear for the wedding. Cousin Sarah and I wore matching dresses. They had these fabulous, delicate buttons all the way down the front, and a sash tie in the back. I was very shy then, and didn&#8217;t know how to talk to adults, even though Aunt Kathy was very loving towards me. I just remember how serious she was about her craftsmanship and how well that dress was put together.
